BackCelebrating Staff Wellbeing: Human Kind Award for Four Elms
We are thrilled to announce that Fiona Glennon, EYFA Class Teacher at Four Elms, has been awarded the Human Kind Staff Wellbeing Award.
As a Trust of four primary schools in Kent, we are committed to promoting a healthy work-life balance for every staff member. Thanks to Helen’s dedication and the exceptional training and coaching from Creative Education, we can confidently assure our parents and staff that effective strategies for developing and sustaining staff wellbeing are firmly established in our school.
On receiving her award, Fiona said, “Gaining the accreditation for the school is something I am very proud of. It has been reassuring to know that our colleagues at Four Elms feel they have even more of a voice than they did before. Personally, I have enjoyed taking on a new challenge and working closely with the teaching assistants.
The Human Kind Framework is a key part of the award process. It provides a thorough overview of what effective practice looks like for supporting staff wellbeing in your school. As a team, we worked through points such as leadership and workload, and through discussions with senior leaders, we came up with possible solutions, which we added to an action plan. The above process was supported by a Creative Solutions coach, who helped keep the targets on track.
Every staff member deserves to feel seen and heard, and even small changes can significantly improve stress levels and overall well-being. In conjunction with our wellbeing charter, staff now feel increasingly empowered to share their concerns. Senior leaders have shown openness to suggestions and have acted on feedback and questions."
Our well-being journey continues, and this accreditation is proof of our commitment not just to our staff but also to our whole school community.
